Lunar Eclipse

I just saw an amazing thing, the lunar eclipse.  Apparently they don't happen very often and to have the opportunity to see it was neat.  It was absolutely beautiful and looking up seeing the clear starry sky and the eclipse made me think "wow, God is amazing and He created all this and I get to see it, how cool is that?!"  So, with that thought, now it's off to spend some time with my hubby and then eventually to get some sleep.

P.S.  I took some pictures, but they definitely don't do it justice.  It is really hard to capture the true beauty with my camera, but I will put them on a later post.

Only 6 Days Until Christmas!

So, Christmas is in 6 days and I can hardly believe it!  It seems as though fall just started and Thanksgiving was only a few days ago. . .my how time flies!  I am currently on Christmas break from school, but I sure feel like I should be doing some homework or studying for something.  I certainly am enjoying being on break though; baking, wrapping gifts and listening to Christmas music.  It makes me feel cheery.

This will be our first Christmas as a married couple and family, I'm pretty excited!  I am very glad to have a wonderful husband and son to enjoy the holidays with.  I am also excited to see our family and friends, I love seeing them and enjoying their good company.  Life can be crazy and any time I am able to slow down and see family and friends is great and I cherish those times a lot.  There was a time I didn't cherish them and am glad that I have learned to again, as life is too short to not enjoy and cherish those who are near and dear to you.  So, hopefully everyone was a wonderful Christmas and remembers to cherish those moments.

Merry Christmas to all and God Bless!

Six Months of JOY

Sunday marked six months with my husband, Greyson.  We celebrated by going to a 1940's White Christmas Ball in Boulder on Saturday!  It was great, we got to dress up like we were from that era and danced off and on throughout the evening.  Greyson looked really handsome in his Grandfather's Hat and Eisenhower jacket from WWII.

Here's some of pictures from the ball and a few from our wedding.

Ready to go on our date.
We enjoyed our celebration and dancing.

Our Family

I can't believe that we have been married for six months, were did the time go?!  It's amazing, time has gone so fast, but it also feels like we've been married forever already.  Weird, but crazy at the same time.  I never thought that I would have a gotten married again as soon as I did, but God had other plans.  His plans were better than what I was thinking, go figure.  He blessed me with an amazing man, who also is a great dad to my son!  I love my husband and wouldn't trade him for the world, I look forward to many years of happiness and more children.  I love you Greyson!

Time for Christmas Break!

So, I am officially done with school for the semester and I passed both my classes!  Christmas break is now here and it's kind of weird after studying about 15 hours for my final, I still feel like I should be doing something.  I did enjoy both of my classes, but I will tell you Anatomy and Physiology is a really hard class.  There is sooo much to learn, it's almost ridiculous!  I only have round one of two done, but now I know what to expect and that I have to work really hard in that class.  Next semester should be good too, I am taking a Zumba class (which should be a nice stress reliever) and going to get my CNA in February.  It's a month long course, but I am looking forward to it and it's a great way to get my foot in the door of the medical field.  So, I think that's enough about school for now. . .

On to Christmas break and enjoying a break from school.  And. . .what better way to start than to celebrate my six month anniversary with my husband?!  I am really excited we are going to a 1940's White Christmas Ball!  We didn't end up dancing at our wedding, (I was kind of bummed), but now I get to dance with my hubby and dress up as a gal from the 1940's!  So, pictures to come and now to get ready for the day and enjoy time with my in-laws making gingerbread houses before our ball tonight! :)

"December 7,1941. A date which will live in infamy. . ." Franklin D. Roosevelt

Hard to believe that 69 years ago today Pearl Harbor was attacked.  I can't even begin to imagine what that day was like.  All I can say is thank you to all the service men and women who have, are and will be serving our country.  It is a great honor and deserves more than a thank you.  Please remember to thank a vet or someone who is serving, our country would not be the same if it weren't for these men and women.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree, How lovely are thy branches. . .

Thanksgiving has come and gone for the year and it seems once Thanksgiving is over that's when the holiday season is in full swing (though I wish they would wait to play Christmas music in the store until after Thanksgiving).  I will have to say that Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, but I do enjoy Christmas too.  It's wonderful for the fact that I get to spend time with family and friends and I like all the Christmas decorations.  So, our Christmas tree is oficially up and decorated, along with some teddy bears and of course Christmas lights in the window.

Our tree with the teddy bears.

Rylan was quite enthusiastic about it too.

This is our first Christmas season as a married couple and I will have to say it is quite wonderful and I am looking forward to many, many more!  With that being said we are ready to go for Christmas and now I should study as I have 2 tests on Monday, a Final on Tuesday and Friday as well.

P.S. More exciting stuff to come. . .next weekend is our 6 month anniversary and we are celebrating by going to a 1940's ball, I am soooo excited!

Blog Officially Up and Running

So, I was sitting here and had my husband look at my blog to help me figure out how to change my background, because I wasn't able to earlier.  He found where I needed to look and now you could say my blog is ready to go!  There may be a few more changes to how it looks, but for now I am pleased.

On to more exciting things, I have a total of 4 days of school left for the semester!  I can't believe how fast this semester flew and that Christmas is only 24 days away!  Class was great tonight, we showed up, turned in our projects and talked about our upcoming tests for Monday and the Final for next Friday and then we were able to go home.  What does that mean?  It means I was able to get out of class at 6:10pm instead of 8:15pm, to go to the store and come home to finish dinner and eat with my husband and son before 9pm.  It was very nice and now I am going to bake and enjoy the rest of a relaxing evening.  Starting tomorrow the next 5 days will involve studying for the first 2 tests Monday and a Final on Tuesday.  Then the rest of next week studying like crazy until Friday.  I will be soooo excited when the semester is over!

Well I think that's it for now, time to bake and maybe some decaf coffee.

First blog. . .

So, I have been debating about starting a blog for sometime now and gave in.  I don't know how much I will blog, but here's a start anyway.  More updates to come as I figure out how this works, I guess you could say it's under construction.
